Below you find links to download the Java MD3 Model Viewer. The Java source code, together with its javadoc documentation is provided under the terms and conditions of the GNU General Public License! You can find it in the sources.zip file that comes with the distribution.

Required Software

Here are some local download links to software you need before you can run the Java MD3 Model viewer. Note that you only need to intall these once!

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment 1.3 (Win32 - 4.85MB)
libGL4Java2.5.0.0-Win32-x86.zip (Win32 - 200KB)
gl4java2.5.0.0-jar.zip (102KB)

Simple Installation Steps

On Win32, follow these simple required-software-installation-steps:

1. Install the Java Runtime by executing the installer exe. In the following steps I assume that you install this to C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.
2. Unzip libGL4Java2.5.0.0-Win32-x86.zip to C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3\bin.
3. Unzip gl4java2.5.0.0-jar.zip to C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3\lib\ext (You'll have to create the ext subdirectory!).
4. Download the Java MD3 Model Viewer and unzip the distribution to a directory of your choice.

You can now run the viewer by just double clicking on the md3view.bat file that came with the distribution. If you encouter any problems, please consult the README.html file for a list of common installation problems.
